This week we talk about "Hollywood," the new Netflix series created by Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck, Glee, Feud) and Ian Brennan (Glee, Scream Queens). 

Set in the boom years of the postwar 1940s, the show mixes fact and fiction in an alt-history that emphasizes the routine sexual exploitation built into the industry as well as its racism, sexism and homophobia. In short, it's a liberal fairytale that injects today's post-Weinstein wokeness into old Hollywood.
